Portraits Untold is a high profile Arts Council England funded project led by established disabled artist Tanya Raabe that is exploring how art and artistic process can engage discussion and debate around diversity.
Tanya is doing four live interactive portrait events with well-known sitters working around diversity at a range of prestigious locations. These include Dame Evelyn Glennie at the National Portrait Gallery, John Akomfrah at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, David Hoyle at Beningbrough Hall, and Neil Baldwin at Stoke City Football Club.
I've been working in collaboration with Tanya to explore her current use of digital technologies in her artistic practice and to investigate how new tools/technologies can be incorporated into the live events to support her process and enhance audience engagement.
